July 1st Meeting
The Art of Kokedama
with Edwin Sandoval of Ritzy Blooms
At this month's meeting Edwin Sandoval of Ritzy Blooms will present: The Art of Kokedama: A Live Botanical DemonstrationJoin us for a live botanical experience with Edwin Sandoval, founder of Ritzy Blooms, a Fort Lauderdale-based floral and plant design studio known for refined and artistic arrangements. In this hands-on style presentation, Edwin will demonstrate the art of Kokedama, a Japanese-inspired technique where plants are transformed into sculptural moss-wrapped forms. You will see the full process from start to finish, along with tips on plant selection, materials, and care.A Kokedama offers a different way to display plants, one that feels more natural and connected to the space around it. Each piece continues to grow and evolve over time.At the end of the presentation, three attendees will be selected to take home a Kokedama, including the one created live during the demonstration. This is a great opportunity to learn something new, experience a live demonstration, and take-home inspiration.
